about

Hi, I'm Cassandra Meyer, M.A., M.S., CCC-SLP, licensed Speech-Language Pathologist based in Los Angeles.

I enjoy helping children find their voice, build confidence, and develop meaningful communication skills.

I hold a Master’s degree in Communication Disorders from New York University and a Master’s degree in Special Education from Arizona State University. My clinical experience includes schools, private practices, hospitals, and skilled nursing facilities.

I believe every child deserves to feel heard and understood. My approach is warm, individualized, and play-based, creating a supportive environment where children can learn, grow, and thrive.

I speak both English and Farsi and value connecting with families from diverse backgrounds.

I look forward to working with you and getting to know your child!

Frequently Asked Questions

FAQ

What ages do you work with?

CM Speech Therapy provides speech and language evaluations and individualized therapy for children of various ages. Services are tailored to each child's developmental level and communication needs.

How do I know if my child needs speech therapy?

If your child has difficulty producing speech sounds, understanding or using language, communicating with others, or expressing their wants and needs, a speech and language evaluation may be helpful. Please reach out to discuss your concerns and determine the next steps.

What happens during a speech and language evaluation?

An evaluation involves gathering information about your child's communication development through parent interviews, observations, and formal or informal assessments. The results help identify your child's strengths, areas of need, and appropriate recommendations.

How often will my child need speech therapy?

The frequency and duration of therapy depend on your child's individual needs and goals. Recommendations are made following an evaluation and discussed with families.

Where are services provided?

Speech and language services may be available in-home, in-clinic, or virtually, depending on your child's needs and scheduling availability.

Do you offer a complimentary consultation?

Yes! I offer a complimentary initial consultation to discuss your child's communication needs, answer any questions, and explore how speech therapy may help. This is a great opportunity for us to connect and determine the next steps.

Do you accept insurance?

I currently offer private-pay services. While I do not accept insurance directly, I am happy to provide a superbill that families may submit to their insurance provider for possible reimbursement. My rate for individual speech therapy sessions is $180 for 60 minutes, and comprehensive speech and language evaluations are available for $350.

What areas do you serve?

CM Speech Therapy serves families throughout Los Angeles, primarily in the San Fernando Valley.
